Dr. Jeff is on a mission to close the proof gap between natural products and pharmaceuticals. Before Radicle Science, he was the founder of a UCLA research center conducting historic clinical trials on natural products.

Dr. Chen serves on the Healthline Medical Advisory Board. He was selected by the National Institutes of Health to serve as an Industry Mentor for the Innovation CORPs, and the World Economic Forum named him a Globalshaper.

Pelin is a tech-executive turned philanthropist with an unwavering focus on transforming data into actionable insights. She’s on a mission to make clinical proof generation easy and affordable to generate large scale diverse datasets with the predictive power to fuel personalized medicine for all.

Deeply committed to impact, education, and community, Pelin has funded natural product clinical trials. She serves as Trustee and Treasurer of the UC San Diego Foundation. Dr. Emily Pauli, PharmD

Named Woman of the Year in Healthcare by the Stevie Association and recognized as a leader in healthcare by Health 2.0, Dr. Pauli has worked tirelessly to expedite the research process to improve the human condition during her 25-year career in research. She is passionate about harnessing the power of technology to streamline the research process, disrupt the status quo, and lessen the burden on trial participants.

Dr. Pauli has authored over 30 publications (and counting), delivered countless keynote addresses, scientific and educational presentations, and served as an advisor to a host of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and industry organizations.

Dr. Susan Hewlings, PhD, RD

Vice-President of Research Affairs

Dr. Hewlings contributes 20 years of research as a leading, extensively published scientist in supplements and nutrition, with more than 60 publications and thousands of citations.

Dr. Hewlings has held multiple faculty positions at universities and a medical school. She is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian and holds a PhD in Nutrition. She completed her research fellowship in protein metabolism at University of Texas Medical Branch.

Dr. Jessica Saleska, PhD

Director of Research

Dr. Saleska is an epidemiologist and behavioral scientist whose research centers on clinical research and people’s choices and experiences surrounding their health.

She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UCLA’s Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior and received her PhD in epidemiology from Ohio State University. Her research has been published in JAMA Pediatrics, BMC Women’s Health, BMC Public Health, and more.
