Rachel was drawn to Radicle Science by its groundbreaking approach to research and its authentic commitment to diversity—both within the workplace and among study participants. This mission deeply aligns with her personal values of growth, advocacy, and purpose, making her role at Radicle a truly transformative opportunity. She thrives in one-on-one interactions with study volunteers and works cross-functionally to uphold study protocols with care, empathy, and precision.
Rachel holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and an MLIS (Master of Library and Information Studies) from the University of Alabama. During graduate school, she deepened her passion for equity, diversity, and inclusion, which continues to inform her approach to research and community engagement. Her eight years of clinical veterinary experience have given her a strong foundation in clinical protocols and a deep understanding of compassionate care, which she brings to her work in human research.
Outside of work, Rachel finds joy and balance in the outdoors—hiking with her two rescue dogs, Denver (a husky mix) and Shelly (a border collie mix). She’s a passionate gardener and a creative soul, with a love for painting, woodworking, and all things DIY. A dedicated supporter of the local arts scene, she regularly attends live music at neighborhood venues. A lifelong reader and Dungeons & Dragons enthusiast, Rachel brings curiosity and creativity to everything she does.
