Macarena’s background in biostatistics, bioinformatics, and data science aligns well with Radicle’s work making sense of complex health data. She brings experience in statistical modeling, longitudinal analysis, and reproducible research, helping ensure analyses are clear, reliable, and easy to reuse. Her skills in R, Python, and Stata—along with her work with researchers and students—also help her explain methods and results in approachable, practical terms.
She is especially interested in deepening her expertise in longitudinal and multilevel modeling and in improving workflows that support transparent, reproducible research. Teaching and mentoring in statistics and programming are also important to her, as she enjoys helping others feel more confident working with data.
Macarena studied Bioinformatics, specialized in Data Science, and is completing a Master’s in Data Exploitation and Knowledge Discovery at the University of Buenos Aires. She has worked in biostatistics and statistical programming for clinical and medical research, focusing on longitudinal data, multilevel models, and reproducible workflows. She also teaches Biostatistics to Biotechnology and Bioinformatics students.
Outside of work, Macarena enjoys crocheting—especially slow, detailed projects she can return to over time. It’s a relaxing, creative outlet, and she loves watching a piece gradually come together. She is also an avid reader and almost always has a book nearby, using reading as her favorite way to unwind. She practices Pilates regularly as well, which helps her stay active and clear her mind after long hours of screen time.
